Then when you bill with the "this was a beyond hard hyst" modifier - charge DOUBLE ... With Medicaid you will probably not get any extra - they - the proverbial 'they' - say - "so you got the big bucks for others that were a piece of cake" Even tho' you got less than peanuts for any medicaid case... I still do them - cause I think it is the right thing to do. I just hope to manage my payor mix so the medicaid/medicare are not the majority of the patients... Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
