Re: Born In the USA/sleeping latent labor patientsFrom: K Dew (kdew@bellsouth.net)Wed Nov 1 14:28:14 2000
I have had quite a bit of success in my non-randomized, non-blinded, non-study of sleeping latent labor patients. I give my patients Demerol 25 mg/Phenergan 25 mg IM and IV. They usually rest quite well and either wake up in active labor or having stopped completely. The part about the hospital not liking taking up the bed space is true, however. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
