Re: ACOG/Cytotec -good newsFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Wed Nov 1 13:48:33 2000
Nothing, they don't have any reason to take any action. The manufacturer has not requested any changes in labelling. No one has presented them with any studies showing that anything is wrong with the current labelling. There are not enough studies of the appropriate kind to get induction ofl labor added as an indication. If they even bother to respond, they will say OK, so what? Of course like Art, "I could be wrong." And I will be glad if I am. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
