(In Namibia we are happy if they have more than two, and in my small town they have 4 on average) How many ante natal visits nationwide in the US? >> Well, in some inner city areas, they get 2. The first one at about 16-24 weeks, to get certified for Medicaid so they can go out and get more foodstamps or other gimmies, and the second one when the labor pains are strong enough that it disrupts their daily routine. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
