There was a large multicenter study called the VIP study. The med school at the University of Oklahoma was one of the centers. I remember some of our patients taking part. That was in 1986 or so, so the articles would have been a few years later. Try looking for articles by Chris Carey, MD. He was one of the principal investigators.
