Is that the case in the USA? I've been a bit confused in this regard. Having just gone thro' the mother of all bioethics cases personally, I do know that in Canada, the fetus, in fact, does have no rights as a person under the law, and that it is not possible here to undertake a court-ordered Caesarean section or forceably restrict a woman for the benefit of the fetus.

I think autonomy issues are both fascinating and difficult areas to deal with.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
