I would personally suspect that the bleeding is progesterone induced (i.e. atrophy) and thus increased frequency or dosing of the depo would probably not improve. I like the idea of the estrogen - would certainly give the 0.1 patch a try for a few weeks to see if improves. (Assuming a negative pregnancy test)
