Here in Argentina we don't use Zofran in pregnancy. What is the experience of the list with it's use in Hyperemesis? Thanks

G3P0020, the 2 previous pregnancies ended in SABs at ~8 weeksMedical history remarkable for type I diabetes, onset at age 9 (currently 22 yo). History of N/V, unable to keep anything down for ~3 days, hospital day 9 now. Wt. loss initially ~10 lbs current wt 148, up 5 lbs from day of admission. Able to eat over the past weekend, but currently with vomiting not responding to Zofran, Phenergan. IVF with MVI qd, had endocrine consult/being comanaged with ob/endocrine. Blood sugars labile 60->200, covered with NPH bid and humalog prn. Currently NPO due to increased vomiting when eating yesterday. Lytes/CBC wnl, except low K+ Considering TPN if things don't improve. What has been the experience of the listers with hyperemesis? Doesn't have to be research-based, anecdotal is fine (I think this woman would do just about anything to feel better!)Thanks aloha' ginny

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
