Thanks for the feedback, I am always interested in other's opinions. Apprentice midwife?? I was not the primary midwife in attendance at this birth, my Sr. midwife was. There is nothing unreasonable about a second stage of 3 1/2 hours. I, myself, am a well informed low risk woman who had a home VBAC and I don't really believe being a VBAC alone should risk you out of homebirth care. Consider it a difference of opinion and practice.

I am not the primary attending midwife yet and I am quickly gaining knowledge, skill and experience. So, you're saying, I should not pray in addition to my education? No, wait, I don't want to wade into a religious discussion.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
