Our office (one OB, three CNMs) referred two patients to our perinatal consultants today:

#1--32 y/o G5, P3 (C/S x 3); now 32 weeks gestation, presented to L & D with c/o "bleeding gums, nosebleeds, discoloration of legs:" ; no history of bleeding disorder; no other discomforts, no hypertension, U/S WNL, no vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain. Platlet count--10,000 (was 230,00 at 28 weeks).

#2--21 y/o G4, P2; now 19.5 weeks; h/o LEEP--U/S at 10 weeks--cervical length 3.7 cm. U/S this week--AFI of 1.9; fetal kidneys appear normal--fluid seen in bladder; Pelvic exam--neg nitrazine, fern, pooling; + fetal movements, AFP--WNL
