The group I practice with routinely includes Hep B & C screening as part of our STD screen (with HIV, RPR, and cultures for GC/CT). I have not heard that our clients are having any difficulty with reimbursement. We also include Hep C in our routine New OB panel. We have had a surprising number of positives, and many of these women did not report histories that would put them at particularly high risk.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
