Just to throw in my $.02 In addition to these experiences there are, of course, cases where a fast thinking midwife arranged a transport to a hospital and thereby averted a death. This applies to cases like cord prolapse etc. There are also cases like the surprise stillbirth I had in May where I don't believe it would have mattered where we were. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
