There is very little mess at home birth in comparison to hospital birth around here. We have chux pads directly under the mother which we change frequently and therefore we avoid the "splash" mess that you see in a hospital birth. Before we leave, we settle the mother onto fresh pads, throw anything messy into the washer, use a little hydrogen peroxide on any carpet spots and take out the trash. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
