I just checked Medline and didn't find any study directly comparing mifepristone and methotrexate. There are many single (plus PG) substance studies. MTX is somewhat less effective - authors have found a need for a second dose in quite a few cases. Mifepristone is also probably safer. (Cytotec alone is less but still quite effective.)

Misoprostol (Cytotec) is the only available PG for oral use. Many studies by now have shown that vaginal administration of Cytotec is significantly more effective than oral, for various indications.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
