In UK.

First trimester is effectively available on demand. Though the way the law is worded probably that wasn't the intention.

Beyond about 12 weeks it is legally possible to terminate for social or medical reasons, though availability of later social terminations is restricted (involves cash!). Termination for medical reasons (maternal health or fetal abnormality) is available until 24 weeks. Beyond 24 weeks there is limited availability of termination for ill-defined severe congenital abnormality. Some colleagues interpret this as including Down's syndrome, but There is no clarity about the definition and the law really needs to be tested in the courts.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
