PROM for maybe 2 weeks but thinks it is incontinence. Begins to feel feverish and starts contracting as well. Husband goes to phone shed, calls doctor. Pt taken to tertiary center. Tocolytics subdue labor somewhat but due to her assumed infected status and breech position of the baby a non-emergent section is planned. No epidural placed yet. Fetal status has been reassuring. Shortly thereafter she feels the baby move down and urge to push. No one was in the room and the father called to the nurse's station to report that "the baby was coming". The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
