is this also known as "rest and descend?" My parturients who have epidurals, have no urge to push, are generally left alone until the head is pretty low or until they have an urge to push. I'll sometimes let the epidural wear off if the head is +2/+3 and they have no urge. Generally I leave things alone if I'm comfortable with how mom & baby are doing. Kevin

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
