Where is she getting the alcohol to cause the gi tolerance to be that poor? I have had women who get the N&V with metronidazole from the alcohol from the spray deodorant or perfume/cologne. Also - there is alcohol in many of the various and sundry cr** that is sprayed etc on hair, skin etc. I bet she is getting a bit of alcohol into her blood stream some way and that is why she could not tolerate the PO Flagyl. I agree with someone else - try the name brand. Some of those preps are better tolerated. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
