there is a provocative letter to the editor in the September Green Journal by Dr. L. Lewis Wall concerning analysis of risks and benfits of C-section. Briefly, Dr. Wall points out that the current debate over-emphasizes on the acute morbidities and risks of C - sections while failing to factor in the long term morbities of vaginal delivery - ie incontinence and prolapse. while not favoring one over the other, he makes an eloquent plea for a more even-handed evaluation of this all too politicized national imperative to "lower the C-section rate."

of course, this is just my opinion. i could be wrong.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
