MARIO,

I JUST SENT YOU AN EMAIL TO YOUR PRIVATE ADDRESS. >

>How long following TVT the erosion occurred?

THE COUPLE THAT I HEARD OF OVER THE PHONE WERE ABOUT 8 WEEKS OUT >Did the patients present with urethrovaginal fistula?

NO ACTUALLY ONE OF THE PATIENTS WAS COMPLAINING OF BLOOD IN THE URINE AND THE GYN SENT THE PATIENT TO THE UROLOGIST WHO ON CYSTOSCOPY CONFIRMED THE TAPE IN THE URETHRA. I ASKED THIS DOCS IF HE PERFORMED THE PROCEDURE AS HE WAS TAUGHT ... AND HE SAID NO...THAT HE DID THE OPERATION UNDER GENERAL ANESTHESIA WITHOUT A COUGH PROVOCATION TEST. I ENCOURAGED HIM TO PERFORM THE OPERATION AS ORIGINALLY DESCRIBED BY ULMSTEAD AND PETROS AND FALCONER.

>Are you aware how the condition was remedied?

THE TAPE WAS REMOVED A SUPRAPUBIC CATH PLACED AND I MUST ADMIT I HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE FOLLOW UP. >

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
