Re: "routine" prenatal visit LONG of courseFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Wed Aug 23 10:17:20 2000

(from memory) No studies with increased natural protein in diet. Dan R. Daniel Braun, MD FACOG Clinical Professor Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Indiana U. >----- Original Message ----- If memory serves me right, isn`t it in the Cochrane that excess protein can actually cause the babies to be smaller? I feel that women without an eating disorder and not underweight should just continue eating what they have been eating so far. I just try to fine tune it with advices of sensible eating - properly cooked food, not too much of junk food and in our country, not too much eating out etc. Rupak Ranjan Roy MRCOG

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
