Agree fully.

I like knowing if they are breech at the 37 or 38 week check, so that you can make a disposition at that time.

Also, I like knowing that when a primip calls laboring, and she was 0/25% yesterday, that she might want to stay home longer--until labor is more established. Similarly, if a multip who was 4 cm/50% yesterday calls, maybe she should head in a bit sooner.

While I'm not in solo practice anymore, I do the same *only* if the cervix is ripe, and only if the patient is interested.
