Re: Legal impact on Medicine - was VBAC-New ACOG report on C/SFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Tue Aug 15 09:02:59 2000
i'd gladly accept $70 cash for an office visit - with the hassles involved with processing claims, hanging on the phones for authorizations, dealing with rejections and out and out delay tactics, $ 70 on the spot seems like a great deal. more than 3/4 of office personnel have nothing whatsoever to do with the care of the patient. and so it goes ... of course, that's just my opinion. i could be wrong. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
