Two doctors opened offices in a small town and put up a sign reading "Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones, Psychiatry and Proctology." The town's fathers were not too happy with the sign, so the physicians changed it to "Hysterias and Posteriors." This was not acceptable either, so they changed the sign again, to "Schizoids and hemorrhoids." No go with the straight-laced town fathers, so they tried "Catatonics and High Colonics." It was thumbs down again. Next, they tried "Manic-depressives and Anal-retentives." Still not good, they tried "Minds and Behinds," which was also declined. Their next suggestion was "Lost souls and Ass-holes," still not approved. Nor were "Analysis and Anal cysts," "Queers and Rears," "Nuts and Butts," "Freaks and Cheeks" or "Loons and Moons." Finally, they settled on "Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones, Odds and Ends."

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
