My understanding is that oxytocics generally increase the risk of invasive molar disease. The evidence for this comes from the far east and from the Charing Cross group in London. The advise avoiding routine use of oxytocics at evacuation of a mole. -----Original Message----- From: Steve & Eryl Raymond [mailto:eryl@intekom.co.za] Sent: 20 July 2000 19:53 To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Rupture uterus at 8 weeks after misoprostol What about using misoprostol for hydatidiform mole? I understand that there is some theoretical objection to this - can anyone enlighten me? ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they -- are addressed. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
