I do them. In fact, I just got a letter from Cigna stating that PAP, pelvic and breast exam must be done at post partum visit, and sent to PCP. Guess since they don't have to pay for the PP exam they encourage it as a way of postponing a well women exam that they do have to pay for. Unlucky for them, half the pap smears come back other than normal (reactive, RBCs, inflammation) which require a repeat in 6 months, that they do have to pay for. Silly fools. Rick

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
