I have known a woman answer her husband's mobile & chat away during a c/section. It was a few years ago before the data on interference with medical devices was established. On a follow up note, are all hospitals worldwide adopting this policy of non-use within several metres of electronic equipment now? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
