I've heard a little about an egg fusion technique, but from what I understand it hasn't been perfected. My understanding is that for now, it's either alternative/artificial insemination or adoption.

Also, I wanted to make a brief comment that I hope I do not get flamed for: It seems that among ourselves as health professionals, we really do not have very much information about caring specifically for lesbian women (and gay men). Perhaps this is because our own subtle- or not so subtle (as I've seen on this board)- prejudices. In anycase, I think nursing and med schools need to start having workshops on working with the g/l/b community.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
