Actually it used to be more common in patients with IMMUNE hydropic fetuses. That is because Rh isoimmunization was the most common cause of hydrops then. The "mirror syndrome is when the fetus has hydrops and the Mother then "Mirrors" the fetus by looking hydropic herself.
