I worry that women will not come in for annual pap and pelvic exam. So many times I have patients who only realize it is time for their annual when their Rx for OCPs runs out.

I do agree that it will be good for adolescents. I have had so many pregnant ones who were embarrassed to go get pills, or didn't have the money or were worried their parents would find out they were sexually active. Of course, when they get pregnant they find out, although sometimes not until labor!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
