I asked the approximately 500 mostly general surgeons on Surginet what they would do and whether they have ever seen a wound disruption in labor.

All replies stated they would just do an appendectomy and that they had not seen a disruption of a recent laparotomy wound during vaginal delivery. Gail Waldby, MD Huron Clinic SD
