Re: Acute Appendicitis at 36.5 weeksFrom: Gail Waldby (gwaldby@willinet.net)Fri Jun 30 14:50:46 2000
I asked the approximately 500 mostly general surgeons on Surginet what they would do and whether they have ever seen a wound disruption in labor. All replies stated they would just do an appendectomy and that they had not seen a disruption of a recent laparotomy wound during vaginal delivery. Gail Waldby, MD Huron Clinic SD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
