The pharmacist at my hospital reports that we only have 3 vials of hemabate in stock. The two other hospitals in our area have a total of about 8 vials.

The pharmacist called the company that makes hemabate and was told that there was a problem with the factory production of hemabate and that it would be a while before any would be available.

Have other hospitals been so affected? What will you use in lieu of hemabate? .....oxytocin, methergine....

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
