Did law school totally fry this man's brain??? >From Phelan's earlier work, his current raves are 180 degrees different. I
had a great deal of respect for his earlier work. In my view, he has decided to abandon medicine based on science and research, and to encourage practice patterns based on economics, which is the base result of the cost the legal system imposes by fear on practice patterns. IMHO, he should be fighting it as a scientist, not promoting it. In the vernacular of my teenaged sons, it sucks, doesn't it??

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
