Re: APGARSFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Thu May 25 16:51:04 2000
Why? It wouldn't mean anything, since nobody does them correctly anyhow. The Apgar score is a procedure to be performed at 1 minute and at 5 minutes. When we have Peds come to a delivery, they will at 15 -20 minutes out, as they are leaving and we say you have to give us an Apgar before you leave, stop, think and scratch their chins and say Oh, it was 5 and 8. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
