two randomized studies conclude that not only is early amnio more hazardous than 16 wk amnio, it may be more hazardous than cvs. while they specifically did not address the issue of multiple gestation, there is no good evidence on which to base the conclusion that early amnio is any safer for multiples. i would totally agree with Dr. Bombard on the experience issue.
