According to ACOG, thru this process, no one has yet been sanctioned. Several people have simply resigned or let their membership lapse. The only thing ACOG CAN ACTUALLY do is revoke your membership/fellowship. But obviously, that would have to be reported on any license or credentials application you file from then on, right? I don't think it comes under the heading of something the NPDB needs to have, but it conceivably COULD be shoe-horned in there, if someone had an axe to grind, and you'd have a hell of a time getting it thrown out...

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
