Does anybody remember who he is, or can they point me to the posts (or give me a general date). I have tried finding those posts through the obgyn.net search engine, but I have not yet been successful.
Is he still around and is he still testifying? Has he been sanctioned?
>> Schifrin has not been santioned, that I know of. However, ACOG started a system in January of 1998, I believe, whereby after that date, if a Fellow of ACOG testifies and his testimony is "un-ethical" a complaint can be made and ACOG will now act, up to and including either a finding that his testimony was "un-ethical" or removing him from Fellowship. This may be a myth, and it may be difficult for the powers in ACOG to take action against one of their own, if a complaint were made against someone who holds an office.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
