Re: external cephalic versionFrom: ainsron@msn.comFri Apr 28 17:37:52 2000
My experience has been similar, although I give the terbutaline SQ with a hep lock in place in case of ... In fact I just did two successful versions this afternoon, both multips at 37 weeks, patients of the midwives I back-up. On a side note, does anyone do a version prior to labor in twins with A-Breech/B-transverse or vtx? I've never tried it and never considered it to be a reasonable option. I currently have a patient at 30 weeks, A -Br, B - transverse. I've told her that if A is Breech, C/S is her only option, from my experience that holds true. This is also a midwife patient who was considering a home birth until she found out it was twins! Life's never simple, is it?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
