Recently saw a Turner's syndrome patient in her late 20's who has been on Premarin 0.625mg (more recently Premphase) since her teens. This seems like a very small amount of estrogen compared to what normal ovaries supply. Would anyone suggest switching to OC's to increase the amount of estrogen? On a similar note, when patients in their 30's have surgical menopause, seems that they would benefit from more estrogen than the standard HRT dose at least until they are menopause age. Have tried unsuccessfully to find literature references on this subject. Would appreciate any information. Thanks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
