Dan I think you have misunderstood my position. I never meant to imply that the vast majority of women should up and leave from my office (although there have been situations of extreme risk where I have counseled patients and arranged to do just that).

What I do advocate strongly is that their number one priority from the time they leave my office is to make a plan, gather resources and leave. That may take 24 hours, it may take a week, it could even take longer than that if kids involved, but the focus should be on moving forward with the plan to leave every single day.
