focal skin necrosis after Cohen incisionFrom: Andrzej Piela M.D. (ginekologia@kolbuszowa.biz.pl)Tue Apr 18 02:54:46 2000
In few cases in the last year in our ward appeared four cases of focal skin necrosis after Cohen incision. In every cases it was seen in 4-5 days after laparotomy as a black , sharp focuses with limits close to incision margin. In every case sperficial bullous changes were visible. The skin near black focuses was red - antibiotics gave some improvement. After longitudinal abdominal skin incision these changes has not been never recognized. The process of healing was secondary and takes long time. I have had any idea of causes of these events - with dermatological aid too.Microbiological investigations are continued. Sincerely A. Piela M.D.
