Thank you. I trained in a program with mostly gyn onc surgery. I certainly feel that I know that anatomy well and have ligated many hypogastric arteries (had one prof who had us practice it at every abdominal hyst). I have never performed this procedure, however, on a patient in massive DIC (complete hemolysis of blood samples sent for coag studies). I'm not so sure that these spaces would have or could have been bloodless, even in the hands of the gyn onc surgeon.
