Ouch! I would recommend referral to a neurologist :) (!) How long had she been on them before having the event?

I heard about a young (20's) patient from up in Portsmouth in the last year who stroked on OCPs - must be something in the water up there.

(and would definitely not give her ANY estrogen based products) DMPA should be fine, but I'd really think about an IUD.
