Well, I do not have all the details - but my (now deceased) partner's son's wife had two pregnancies with MSAFP's of 20 or so MOM. Nothing was ever identified, both babies were 100% OK. No pre-term labor or IUGR. I think they decided that perhaps HER body just did not break down the AFP made by the baby... Sounds like her docs should have written it up!
