Treatment depends on where she is in pregnancy. If she is beyond 9 weeks she is unlikely to have any problem. Less than 9 weeks I usually replace both estrogen and progesterone. Easiest way is two Climara 0.1 patches every 5 days with progesterone suppostitories 200 mg twice a day. Remember that though oral progesterone is OK for gynecologic hormone replacement it has clearly been shown to be defecient for obstetrical hormone replacement. Some women will require hormone replacement for as long as 14 weeks of pregnancy (at least that is true for ovum donation).

There is no hazard to the fetus to exposure to Lupron, Progesterone, or estradiol.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
