Vaginitis/bad laboratoty?

The question may seem at first odd: Did you encounter in your practice situations when clear cases of vaginitis diagnosed traditionaly (complants, gyn speculum examination showing changed vaginal lining and secretions) were not supported by laboratory findings? How would you explain this descrepancy?
