Re: 9 mm M-echo on 6th day of the cycle of 28 daysFrom: Rafael Haciski MD (haciski@earthlink.net)Fri Mar 24 18:20:21 2000
Unless there is specific clinical problem (abnormal bleding, for example) I would not be overly concerned with that. Often, when we do screening sonos before initiating ovulation induction on CD 2 or 3, the endometrium appears thicker then it does later in the cycle. Sometimes this thicker endometrium persists until they finished menstruation, but usually it becomes thin by mid-proliferative cycle, when it starts to thicken again. I would not worry this, at worst repeat the sono again in next cycle, and perhaps document that she does ovulate (with something like a BBTC) and that her menstrual pattern is regular.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
