I think one of the reasons this is not seen as a problem by many (or even most) women is that women are capable of multiple orgasms during one sexual encounter. This is not true of very many men. Thus, once a man has an orgasm, the event is usually over and done with. With women, this situation does not generally apply.

I'm wondering exactly why this woman was describing this situation as a problem for her (or even if she was describing it as a problem). Sometimes women bring up these sorts of issues when they are simply wondering if they are "normal" or not. Simple reassurance is often sufficient in these instances.

What about this situation is troubling or concerning for this individual woman?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
