Re: Cash only services?From: carolyanderson@netscape.netSat Mar 18 08:33:34 2000
My son sees a cash only Doc. It's a pain for us because he's so expensive (the baby and the Dr), but I don't blame the Doc. A friend recently had an Xray. The provider billed $75.00, insurance allowed $18.00, and paid $14.00. As a patient, I don't think $75.00 is unreasonable for the service. You guys (Drs) really get "hosed" when it comes to insurance. Carol, RN

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
