Efrain: a patient came in the other day and gave me a check rendered for my usual service in 1971 and its total amount was $25.I ask my economics professor friend to run the CPI and inflation on this to date and it amounts to $125.25.Now for that same service I charge $75.Medicare pays me $22.50 and the patient pays $25.Not only have we had no raise in our fees but inflation has ruined us.-- Joseph H. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
